Alphabet coloring pages for toddlers

Coloring a giant letter is one of the gentlest ways to meet the alphabet. Pair each letter with a picture — A for apple, B for ball — and you have a playful, no-pressure ABC routine.

How to use ABC pages with a toddler

Say the letter name and its sound as your child colors, then point to the picture: "B, buh, ball." Don't worry about staying in the lines; the goal is familiarity, not perfection.

Try one letter a day, or pick the letters in your child's name first. Hanging finished pages on the fridge makes a homemade alphabet wall.

Questions parents ask

Should toddlers learn uppercase or lowercase first?

Seeing both together works well, which is why each page shows the upper- and lowercase letter side by side.

What age are alphabet coloring pages for?

Roughly ages 1–4, depending on interest. Older preschoolers can trace the letter outline with a finger first.

Each download is licensed for personal, household use: print as many copies as your family needs. Please don't resell, share or redistribute the files.
